The Reef Playacar is a wonderful spot to vacation. It's very quaint and a nice size. We love the staff that make us feel as part of the family. Our favorite rooms are overlooking the garden which is more like looking out into a little jungle which makes each room very private and provides a lovely areas for outdoor exercising and areas to relax and eat ice cream or coffees. There are 2 swimming pools that aren't overly big but the sandy beach is fantastic. The resort has an onsite scuba diving and water sports building with friendly and professional staff and the brand new spa is amazing to experience. The resort also has bikes for use and is in a great spot to walk or bike around the area, even into the town of Playa del Carmen withing minutes. When staying at The Reef, you can also use it's other resorts nearby for meals including a Japanese restaurant, Italian, Mexican or buffet restaurants or for swimming and a free shuttle bus service is provided. In our opinion, it's a wonderful resort!!
