We recently spent multiple weeks at Plantation Beach Club. The recent renovations were outstanding. The new furniture was both stylish and comfortable. The view is always great and the elevators made moving in and out a breeze. We will highly recommend PBC to our family. We did not miss the amenities as we had our pool and tennis courts. We came for the beach anyway and walking around the marina is free. There are many restaurants out the front gate: Doc Ford's is close and has the Yucatan shrimp, Mucky Duck is always the best place to watch the sunset, and The Bubble Room has gone upscale with a much improved menu. We tried the Mad Hatter for the first time and loved it. Old Captiva is always a favorite. We loved the time we spent at South Seas, and the rental fee was a bargain.

There is no reason to ever go to Hawaii if you can go here. We own a week here and like the previous review it is the best week I have ever bought and I will never ever trade it. The restaurants at the resort and on Captiva are wonderful but casual, you can ride a bike anywhere or take the trolly. The beach is quiet and beautiful and full of shells. I look forward to this week every year.

I have owned a week at this timeshare for over 30 years. The beach is great. There are a half-dozen great restaurants on Captiva near the resort plus a lot of restaurants on nearby Sanibel Island. The hurricanes from several years ago have resulted in a lot of reconstruction going on, but it is not close to the Plantation Beach Club buildings.

If you haven’t visited South Seas recently you are in for a treat! The resort is gorgeous. Doc Fords restaurant is now on site. Easy walk to Andy Rosse Lane for more shops and restaurants. All Plantation Beach Club units are well maintianed, ocean side, right on the beach, and have a fully equipped kitchen, dining, living room, lanai, two bedrooms and two baths, all linens included. Pool, tennis, free laundry. Each unit has one covered parking space. Guest parking available. Elevators were added a few years ago. There is a South Seas resort fee if you want to use resort amenities. Virtually all resorts have an amenity fee these days. Good rentals nearby for beach equipment. They deliver and pick up at the end of your week.

This review is for week 1 at 1033 Plantation Beach Club. A great unit, awesome resort, and tremendous value. You are simply not going to find a better beach front set up on the islands for such an incredibly low cost. Everything was awesome -- the owner, the location, the resort!

Just returned from a wonderful trip to this timeshare resort. I own two timeshares in Sanibel and am very familiar with South Seas location so I knew it would be good. All units at this resort have a full ocean view although the upper units are obviously the best. Only drawback for some would be the steps to the upper units. There are no elevators so that might be a drawback for some. I was also a little surprised that there were not washers and dryers in units but it was not a huge problem for us. Free laundry was available at all the pool houses and they were never busy. I believe every two buildings have their own small pools and laundry. We were charged $30.00 per day per person for the amenities at South Seas Plantation. This fee covers in unit wi-fi, New York Post paper delivery daily to unit, use of all restaurants, pools and shuttle service within the resort. I was not upset with the fee. This particular timeshare property obviously wants to give their owners and guests the ability to choose whether they want these services or not. South Seas Plantation has extensive ammenities and in order to enjoy them someone has to pay for them. It only seems fair that if owner's or guest's are using them then they should participate. It is a lovely resort and the pools were beautiful. Hoping to take our grandchildren down in the spring. We own a unit at Tortuga Beach Club in Sanibel which we love. We actually had a unit in Tortuga during the same time as our stay here (it was a trade) and we opted to stay at Plantation Beach Club. The unit was clean, the bed was comfortable and you could not beat the view and the short walk across the lawn to the beach. We loved it and would go back in a heart beat.

Can't beat the location and view. Too bad the resort treats timeshares like "riff-raff" and charges $9 per person/per day (all or NOTHING) to use their "amenities" (including WiFi) and for the "priviledge" of being "allowed" to pay to eat in their restaurants. We did just fine using our ethernet cable, thank you very much!

ONLY complaint about the villa was that it could use a deep cleaning and new bed pillows. New washers and dryers were installed while we were there.

We just returned from South Seas after a four year absence due to the hurricane damage closing the island for repairs. I must say they have done an excellent job re-building. You would never know it suffered such damage. South Seas is as beautiful as ever. We enjoyed every minute. We are hoping they open a few more high end restuarants. We miss Chadwicks. Plantation Beach Club units have all you need as with the lovely weather you will want to be outside all the time. There are many other types of units around South Seas with varying floor plans and sleeping arrangements. All are beautiful.

This is our 25th year at PBC. We own four unit weeks. Our kids always loved it there and now they bring the grandkids. We each have our own unit and have a ball. I think this is the best location on South Seas, right on the beach. The resort is more beautiful than ever... with more improvements coming. Check out the South Seas website. They could use a few more restaurants and shops which are in the works. The new Wine Bar is fabulous!

I traded my Branson time to go to Captiva. My family thoroughly loved the place. We stayed in a second floor end unit and had a stunning view of the Gulf of Mexico from our screened in back porch. The unit was smaller than I am used to, but had a complete kitchen and everything else we needed. The staff at the South Seas resort were very friendly and helpful. We will definetly go back to visit this slice of paradise.

We own a week at PBC II and firmly believe it was the BEST invesment my wife and I could have ever made. Everything is on the resort and you can do as much or as little as you want. We can be on the beach in a few minutes or down cooling off in the pool in just a few seconds. The entire South Seas Plantation Resort is FABULOUS! It is the one week out of the year we look forward to more than anything else. If you ever have a chance to stay anywhere at South Seas Plantation I HIGHLY recommend it. Chances are though, you probably won't find anybody wanting to exchange!
