We exchanged into the resort in January, which is
off season for them, but for us, from Alaska, it
was a great time to go to Florida. Our week on
the house boat was probably the most relaxed,
restful week we've ever had. It was great!. We
anchored the houseboat in a slough off the main
channel each night and except for one night had
the whole wilderness area to ourselves. Saw
alligators galore, day and night, lots of other
wildlife up and down the river. We're sailboaters
so we made the transition to houseboats easily,
but the training is adequate for anyone to run the
boat safely and enjoyably, even someone who has
never run a boat before. This was one of the best
exchanges we've ever done. We'll do this again
and next time bring the kids and grandkids.
