Grandview Shuttle
I talked with a representative at Grandview on Friday, 10-13, and they informed me that they no longer offer a shuttle to the strip as RedWeek currently says. The South Coast Trolley stops at the resort and runs to Mandalay bay for $2.50 each way or $6.50 for a day pass, but the free shuttle is no longer available. RedWeek might want to verify this and update the information as some of us found the free shuttle a nice amenity that is no longer available.

This is bad news!!! I know gas prices are forcing this situation, however, they would have done better by cutting back. This is a definite turn off and I will not return because of it. If you wanted to go to the strip everyday, you would have to spend $45.50 if you stayed there seven days. You're already spending enough for the timeshare, then they want you to spend money going to the strip? Not fair at all!

The news of the shuttle no longer being available is terrible news indeed. My wife and I are owners and spent our first week at the Grandview last year and are returning in a couple of weeks. The shuttle did not even last a year!!! What other cutbacks do we have to expect?? This is not the way to treat owners who spent a substantial amount of money for the timeshare.

Last year's shuttle service was a bit lacking on service...small shutles were used when large numbers of people were waiting for rides and vice versa...and there was no rules of engagement when waiting in line and getting on the shuttle...a lot of rude people!!! We rent a car for convenience anyway..and now we have to!!!

If I read donaldc49 comments correctly, I signed up for my purchase on the 10/08/2006 and this was still being offered ans an incentive to opurchase. I am absolutely disgusted with the removal of this service. I definitely paid huge money for this timeshare with one of the selling points to us being the free shuttle service. There was a great deal of emphasis placed on this service during the hardsell for the timeshare. This was an added advantage to those who are from out of the US and are not comfortable driving there. Being able to be taken to the strip and picked up certainly helps with ones enjoyment of their time in Vegas. Driving can be out of the question for some people. Now they have to pay to get to where they want to go. Shocking!!!!!!!! Absolutely shocking. Now that you have the money out of us you are cutting back on the services provided. I have no doubt that this will not be the last service to be withdrawn. Owners stand up and be counted against this cavalier attitude especially when there was no consultation undertaken with the owners regarding the withdrawal of the shuttle service.

No it wasn't being offered as an incentive but when we did the tour we were told that one was in the works. I just emailed the person who sold it to us to see what he can confirm. I will post when I get an answer.
Has anyone here ever used the timeshare at Grandview? How was your experience? We just bought last month

I am not an owner at Grandview, but am coming in as on RCI trade in January of '08. I have been to MANY timeshare "speils" as I call them.. and I do think it is outrageous that they took away the one link all of you owners have to get to the strip. I they are in "cahoots" with the casino across the street to get you all to use that one instead of using your dollars uptown. But to be given the "free shuttle" as a selling point and to have it taken away less than a YEAR later is just unbelieveable. We are only taking this place because we are not staying the whole week there.. we happen to have some complementary nights at another place on the strip (thanks to Atlantic City gambling..haha) or we would not choose to stay at the Grandview.. as nice as it sounds. Renting a car adds on a whole other expense to your travel.. not to mention the traffice headaches that we like to get AWAY from when on vacation! How sad. Even all the timeshares in Orlando, Florida (where we own) offer free shuttles to Disney! How cheap can they be?? You owners should NOT let this go by the wayside.. stand up for what you deserve AND PAID FOR! I do know this...there is power in numbers.. do not give up! Good luck to all.. I will be watching to see what happens. P.S. Work fast.. I'm coming in January :)

Hi Lyn, I actually spoke to our rep that sold us the timeshare and there is a shuttle now, but of course you have to pay. There is a grocery shuttle as well. We bought the 2 bedroom share and they are pretty nice. Have fun in Vegas! If you like to shop, make sure you head over to the outlet stores...Have fun.

Hi Teri, I'm happy to hear that they finally have a shuttle in service to the strip..even if it's for a fee it's better than nothing. Do you happen to know how much it costs? These small "incidentals" can add up very quickly! I still think they have gall charging for something people are paying dearly for in their maintenance fees. Oh well. I guess we will see how it goes. And yes, I am very much looking forward to visiting Vegas again.. it's been 9 years since we've been and so much has been added! I just love all the action and really NEED the vacation:) Anywhere I stay, as long as there are no bugs (as I've read about at the Summer Bay Resort ..ugh! ), will be just fine with me! Thanks for the info. Lynn

hi just wondering can you tell me what time the shuttle bus runs in to the strip and what time it finishes and starts at. also does anyone know how far the supermarket is from grandview and how often it runs during the day. we are arriving on an evening flight so we are wondering is there a shuttle running to a supermarket then or is there one near enough that we can make our own way there
