Beachwoods Resort
Kitty Hawk, North Carolina
Formerly Barrier Island Station, Beachwoods Resort is nestled among 100 acres of maritime forest in historic Kitty Hawk. 700 acres of beautiful nature preserve lie to the west of the resort, with the beach nearby to the east. Guests have access to plenty of amenities, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a sports complex and fitness center, private lake, nature trails, tennis courts, volleyball courts and private parking adjacent to the beach. Additionally, a new water park, recreation park and lakeside lodge are all in the woods for completion!
Beachwood Resort's 84 units range in size from one to four-bedrooms, offering the perfect amount of room for every group. Each and every unit includes a full-equipped kitchen, deck or porch, and in-room washer and dryer. Rooms are outfitted with bright colors, pale woods and decor that exudes a decidedly beachy vibe.
Kitty Hawk boasts a rich history, breathtaking natural preserves and of course, stretches of beautiful beach! Known as the Outer Banks, these barrier islands have been eroded away by centuries of wind, water and sand and make for a truly unique vacation experience. In the area, be sure to experience the Wright Brothers National Memorial, the Lost Colony Outdoor Drama and Roanoke Island Aquarium. Nature enthusiasts will want to enjoy a hike at Jockey's Ridge State Park, the largest active dune system east of the Mississippi River. The area is also home to numerous golf courses if you're craving some time on the green.
