Per the owner:
We purchased our first week at this property in November 2015, while I was attending a Medical meeting held at the Hyatt Regency hotel next door. It had been 12 years since I had last stayed at the Hyatt Regency hotel, on Kaanapali beach and I was struck by how well this area had been preserved and unchanged. In fact, I had been periodically staying at the Hyatt Regency hotel since 1996 and the area had remained unspoiled over time. The Hyatt Residence Club had just been completed in 2015, in what was a parking lot before.
Unlike the other resorts on Kaanapali beach, the Hyatt Residence Club has ocean front rooms in the majority of their offerings. We paid extra to purchase guaranteed upper floors, 8 to 12, for an unobstructed 180 degree, ocean front view. The lower floors do not have this view because of the Hyatt Regency hotel next door.
During our family vacation at our resort, in June 2017, we were offered and purchased our second week. Since we are from the East coast, it was most convenient to fly to Maui and stay for two consecutive weeks, every other year rather than stay one week every year. We have been to Oahu and the Big Island, for comparison and completely agree with the native Hawaiian’s saying that translates to “Maui is Best”. Maui offers everything that the other islands have, including a dormant compared to an active volcano. I have been visiting Kaanapali beach in Maui since 1996 and i will always treasure my time there.
The unit is upper floors, 9 to 12. These floors are higher than the adjacent Hyatt Regency hotel, so that the view is unobscured 180 degrees compared to the lower floors which have a view limited by the hotel. Also, although the unit has 2 bedrooms each with a king sized bed and a queen sized sofa bed in the living room, one of the bedrooms has a lounge chair that opens up into a single bed for an additional sleeper. In reality, 7 people can stay in the unit comfortably.
Owner also has Week 23 posted for sale for $30,000. Owner will offer a $5,000 discount on Week 24 if both weeks are purchased together, for a total purchase price of $60,000. Please use the link below to view the posting for Week 23.
