GREAT WEEK TO START THE SUMMER SEASON EARLY !!!

Personal notes from the owner: Barrier Island Station is the perfect place to explore the Outer Banks. There is direct access to one of the area’s last remaining unspoiled beaches, you can swim, sail, windsurf, raft, or just lie on the beach. Lifeguard protected beach. On-site, there is an outdoor pool, children’s pool, playground and tennis. At the new recreation center there is a regulation size pool table, ping pong table and shuffleboard game. There are two giant tv’s for those who wish to relax in an open entertainment area to watch their favorite team sports in action. Barrier Island Station in the north of the Outer Banks is a paradise between the Atlantic Ocean and Currituck Sound. A high demand summer location. Nestled amid sand dunes and sea oats is Barrier Island Station. One of the northern-most communities on the Outer Banks, Duck offers some of the last remaining unspoiled beachfront on the Eastern seaboard. Both the Atlantic Ocean and the sound present ex cellent water-sport opportunities. The resort has many amenities, including sailboats, windsurfers, and rafts. When it's time for a change from the oceanfront, you can swim in the outdoor or indoor pools, play a set of tennis, or just relax in the whirlpool, sauna, or steam room. There are several top-notch restaurants in Duck within walking distance from the Barrier Island Station resort. For those looking for a little more activity off the resort grounds, they can see the wild horses that run free on the beaches of Corova, just a 35-minute drive north of Duck, or the Wright Brothers Memorial Museum about the same 35-minute distance from Duck in the opposite direction.
