    Per the owner:

We discovered Sapphire Beach Resort when friends of ours invited us to stay in their unit over 10 years ago and immediately fell in love with the resort and area. We purchased our condo shortly after and were fortunate to get such a beautiful unit. We have incredible ocean views from our 2 bedroom, renovated unit with a private balcony. The staff are friendly and accommodating, many have been there for many years and welcome us back each year. It's a quieter atmosphere, although they plan fun events, such as pizza night, bingo, happy hour and more by the poolside bar and restaurant. The concierge is always helpful at planning excursions around the island. We feel safe taking early walks to grocery stores, bakeries and restaurants.

We love exploring the island, enjoying both the Dutch and French side for shopping and dining. A favorite place to check out is the Loterie Farm, a tropical sanctuary with fabulous food and drink at the Jungle Room restaurant, also offers activities of ziplining, hiking and the island's only spring-fed pool. Catch the sunset right next door to Sapphire Resort at Dany's Cupecoy Beach Bar with the best tropical drinks and friendly atmosphere.

By Phila3 Feb.2017 We rented a one bedroom in February. "Warning ". They tell you they are Updating there rooms, no true. They are updating the villas. Which are beachfront. These are owned by locals that own local restaurants ,etc. The restaurant/ bar is owned by a local that lives there and they only take cash for drinks and meals. I guess it is leased to them by the timeshare Association. We did walk to the restaurants down the hill and a few up the hill. "Warning" Don't walk to the restaurants. We were mugged by two locals on a moped. They come up behind you and knock you down, while grabbing your pocketbook. They drive up and down the road looking for victims. The locals know, this has been going on for a while and the police know and haven't done anything. We had been to Saint Martin many times. But this will be our last . The place is old and the place and in need of a lot of updating.

This place is a dump!! Should of read the reviews before I booked! Sometimes you can't believe a review but for this place it's true! Took me two days to get a pool towel! I could go on and on. The lady I rented off said her place was refurbished Not ! No beach umbrellas or chairs. I didn't go to the beach because other people told me not to bother!! Would never stay here again!!

The room is a studio most comfy for two but will accommodate 4 with a sliding wall privacy divider. The room is on the 3rd floor with view of the ocean and pool. The beach at the resort is mostly eroded from hurricanes but the pool is beautiful and lots of beaches nearby. You will need a rental care to truly enjoy the island. The resort is on the dividing line between the Dutch and French sides and easy to travel between the fine shopping and casinos on the Dutch side or the fantastic dining and beaches on the French side. The resort is older but very clean with a full kitchen. If you are missing anything the staff is friendly and super responsive. There is a great little poolside bar where you can get snacks and interesting cocktails. Make sure to use the concierge Marcia - she is amazing and will offer great suggestions to eat shop and swim Week 17, 4/27 - 5/4 is also fun to watch Carnival Wed 4/30/2025 on the Dutch side

Nestled on Cupecoy Beach and just feet from the border to French side, this resort is in a prime location for optimum relaxation. With an interesting array of restaurants and shops at Porto Cupecoy and the expansive Maho Beach within short walking distance, you will have easy access to multiple recreational activities on both the Dutch and French sides of this ‘friendly’ island.

We've been coming here for over 20 years! Easy access to the center of Maho and a short drive to the french side. Rooms are very clean and the resort itself is beautiful. Spend the afternoon by the pool watching the boats sail by and the planes fly in to this beautiful island.

Resort grounds are well kept. Resort staff were very courteous and helpful. Our studio accommodations was nice and our unit overlooked the Caribbean Sea. Small beach. Beautiful private location. Right on the Dutch/French border. Far enough away from the busy Philipsburg shopping centers but close enough to restaurants, casino.

My husband and I have been going to Saint Maartin since 1999. The first time we went was to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary, we felt in love with the island it is simply beautiful. We go every year, we were there last November and although this property can use some more TLC it is located in the best spot in the island. YOu will be next to the Blue Mall, luxury villas, beaches and much more... I definitely recommend renting a car, the island is very easy to navigate and only with a car you will be able to reach some of the beaches in the french side. The french side you will find great restaurants and a total European vibe, it is fabulous... Writing this is making me wish I was back there... I hope you enjoy your stay, and be open minded - embrace the island it is a lot of fun!
