Tucked away in Shipyard Resort. The drive from security guard/gate to condo is beautiful and serene. The SWII condo is spacious. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and appliances. View from the deck is peaceful. We played 2 of the 3 golf courses. Each was well maintained for winter. Of course, the greenways aren’t summer green, but the views are great, and courses are challenging. We loved being there in January. Weather was 62, plenty of restaurants to choose from without a wait, outlet shopping, etc.

This is one of the largest condo units we have seen. The pool area is secluded and very private and the walk to the beach is only 10 minutes. Shipyard plantation has tons of big old oak trees covered in Spanish moss and lots of little waterways and lagoons. Lovely place to ride your bikes. The Southwind unit is on a lagoon and a lovely golf course.

Hilton Head is a great place to visit. All buildings are tucked into the natural scenery. The choice of fabulous restaurants is amazing. We eat out a lot when we are there. Yummy seafood!

We love the plantation setting with bike/walking paths throughout and beautiful landscaping. Two bikes are provided with each unit making it easy to get out and explore.

Southwind ll has a 3/4 mile bikepath directly to the beach and it is mostly shaded. The brand new clubhouse at the beach has lockers for storing beachgear between visits during the week.

The pool is good for all ages as it has shallow and deep ends. It has never been overcrowded in our 4 years of visiting during the summer and is a 1 minute walk from the condo! It has a gas grill so you can cook and eat right at the pool.

The kids love watching/feeding the turtles which flock to the shore at the sight of people. A gator often visits as well, so some supervision of small ones is necessary.

The condos are at the top end of those we have seen in our 20 years of vacationing and touring. They are pretty, very spacious, and well- equipped.

We have two relatives who own there as well, and we all go annually.

Other than the check in procedure they use, the resort was a very enjoyable week. The golf was great, unit was nicely decorated and very good sized master suite. We had great view of golf course and lake. They are continuing upgrading the inside of units. Grounds were very well kept and pool and other areas were very nice. This is back in the shipyard plantation and very quiet. Easy to get on & off the plantation and close to shoppng and eating. We are looking forward in returning next year. Use of the bikes and private beach not far away made it even more enjoyable.
