Beautiful resort club with an excellent indoor/outdoor beachfront restaurant. Pool has a great grotto bar. The beach is secluded/members only with occasional guests. Tons of activities to sign up for. Really fun bonfire, fish fry, poolside bingo, tennis court, gym, free scuba equipment use , etc - many fun options. Cheap ride on fairy or cab into town.

A playground in paradise. A very lovely resort with everything needed for a relaxing week disconnected from the hustle and bustle. Start or end your day with a meal at Taino by the Sea and take in the breathtaking ocean views. Swim up to the bar for your Bahama Mama drink in the Taino Beach Resort's 20,000 sq feet pool. Sit poolside, in the shade or on a hammock. Slide down the 103 foot waterslide, watch your children play in the shallow pool, fountains or at the playground area. Float in an inner-tube in the pool's 'lazy river'. Explore the private caves or relax in the hot tub or in one of the three sun beds that are located in the pool.

Stayed there Oct 22-30, 2010. The "Ritz" has 3 different units the "Ocean", the "Coral" and the "Marlin". The Marlin is the newest and the furthest from the beach but the whole place is right on the beach - the best feature of this resort.

It does not appear that anything has veen updated in our room in the Ocean since we first stayed there in 2004. Plumbing fixtures coroded and leaking, the diswasher leaked and we had to make a dam of towels.

Staff was extremely slow to get our room, even after waiting for the 4:00 check in time. They put us on 3rd floor even though we had asked for ground floor because of my wife's handicap. Said that was all they had available. Elevator did not work going down for 3 days so we had to use the stairs. There is only 1 elevator for the whole resort.

Kitchen was very poorly equiped. We had to ask for some plates and mixing bowls. There was no maid service during the week.

You will have to pay for ferry boat over to Port Lucya. Be sure to check the times it is running.

The restaurant has good food but might close early if there is no one there for dinner.

If you have a "Penthouse", you must go up stairs from 3rd floor. Only half face the ocean. The others look at the apartment building next door. Effeciency units all face away from the ocean and have only microwave and small refridgerator. The "studio" units have ocean view. There is a queen bed in the studio unit but any other persons would have to sleep on a very narrow couch - not a sofa bed.

we are currently new owners of a timeshare at the marlin. same place ,different building. people were nice lots to do for extra $. .But dont expect to snap your fingers for quick service. its a whole different life style down there. just go with the flow and have fun. enjoy the beautiful sceneary there. like any place in the bahamas it can be expensive . dont think your going to pay macdoalds prices. this place has an excellent pool and private beach at the resort. and when you fell going out for a nice meal port lucaya has alot to offer, or just stay at the resort restaurant which is very good as well.

I have a time share at this resort and went there from 10/12/07 through 10/19/07. The location is perfect as it is situated on the beach and there is a huge pool just outside of the buildings. While we have been very dissatisfied with the service in the past, the resort is under new management and efforts are being made to improve the quality of service and become more customer friendly.

The older rooms located in the Ritz section have been renovated, but not real fancy. The newest section--The Marlin----the rooms are very nice and have lots of storage space and room.

The pool has a bar under cover, so it was nice when it rained. There is a happy hour, but only for mixed drinks; not beer.

You can take a ferry over to Port Luycaya for shopping and dining. Usually on Friday and Saturday evenings they have a limbo show with live bands.

We didn't try the on-site restaurant and did alot of cooking in the room to save money for other activities.

We have been going to this resort for 10 years and really enjoy our stays there. It is a 3 star resort right now, but if they make imporvements as they promise, it has the potential to be a nice, quiet place to go to vacation with or without children.
