    Fort Myers Beach, Florida

The beautiful sandy beaches and mangrove-lined canals of Fort Myers are waiting for you at the Windward Passage Resort! Located in the heart of Fort Myers Beach, this beachfront resort is all about slowing down and relaxing. Lounge by the heated outdoor pool, soak in the whirlpool hot tub, or get up a game of volleyball or horseshoes on the beach. As the sun sets, the barbecue area is a great spot for an end-of- the-day picnic dinner!

Windward Passage Resort offers both one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites, well-suited for up to four and six guests, respectively. Furnished with a classic Floridian flair and in cool, refreshing and marine-inspired tones, suites feel airy and spacious. In addition, each comes equipped with a full bathroom, full kitchen, living area, dining area, air-conditioning and balcony or deck.

In Fort Myers, you can step back into time at the Thomas Edison home and museum, explore natural wonders on an Everglades Jungle Cruise, or have a day of nature park fun at the Shell Factory. Golfers can tee off at nearby courses, and outdoor lovers can head to the local Wildlife Preserve. In addition, there are a number of nearby restaurants, shops and clubs nearby waiting to discovered and explored. Of course, you also won't want to miss the beach itself for which Fort Myers is so famous!

Relatively small facility (about 50 units) and well managed by VRI. Older construction, but well maintained. Adequate amenities on site, plenty more nearby. Free bicycle use. Being north of the frenzy and traffic of Times Square is a plus, yet you are still close enough to walk there. Also within walking distance of Bowditch (County) Park. The facility completed an extensive concrete restoration and "face lift" project during 2007 - 2008.

NOTE: Be very wary of an undeserved "5 star" rating seen below regarding this facility. That exuberant over-rating has apparently been posted by an OWNER at Windward Passage, trying to subtly promote her own advertised rentals by submitting an overly generous "5 star rating". Windward Passage is a decent and well maintained facility, but it is certainly NOT a "5 star" resort by ANY possible measure or stretch of the imagination.

Perfect location. Rooms are dated and resort does not put bed spreads on beds just sheets and a blanket. The pool is nice and the walk to beach is not a far walk. This is an older resort and has the basics for a nice stay. The best part of this resort is the location. It located on the quite end of the island. If possible bring your own pillow the ones in our room were not comfortable. I would stay again because of the location.

We fell in love with this place the first time we stayed here. This resort is on the north end of the beach. Half mile walk to the pier and 15 places to eat and drink while listening to music.

    • This is the friendliest resort I have ever stayed at. Both staff and other owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

A unique, intimate Resort in a great beach location. Socials include Ice Cream Day, Pancake Day, Hot Dog, Burger Day & free coffee any day. A user friendly quiet Resort with heated pool and complimentary beach chairs. Bring your own beachtowels as they are not supplied and minimum toilet tissue or you can purchase additional rolls. Not far near the end of N. Ft. Myers Beach is the fabulous Pine Shell Resort for a tropical drink or meal and several quality island restaurants.

Summers are hot and humid, and good vacation times. Winters can generate fierce traffic problems.

Hurricanes have done their worst to this poperty, and it has always bounced back. Ideal for small families. Great staff.

The resort staff were friendly and responded quickly to requests. The condition of the resort and rooms was very good and very clean. We enjoyed the family atmosphere and the resort activities. We also enjoyed the nearby activities, including a one day trip to attractions in the Everglades.

We would recommend you consider this resort for your visit to Ft. Myers Beach.
