I stayed at the Beach Club Dec. 16 - 23,
2006. I've been to St. Thomas twice yearly,
sometimes more for about 10 years now, but
never had an opportunity to stay here.
I will again.
The Beach Club is close to town & a bit of a
drive to Red Hook, where I like to go, but that
is ok with me. Over-all it isn't fancy, but very
clean, quiet, secluded, secure & relaxing. The
buildings are layed out in such a way that all
are ocean view and basically a stone's throw
from the pool & beach.
Everything is in good shape. The pool has a
swim-up bar where drinks flow with excellent
service. Upon check-in; the lobby became
packed with guests also checking-in; I found
the front desk staff to be prepared,
organized, helpful & friendly.
I prefer quiet & low-key atmosphere. There
really isn't much 'night-life' at the resort, but
again, fine with me. My 3 college-age
daughters created their own fun with others
their age poolside during the days and at the
main bar in the evenings. They had a great
time!
The restaurant is right on the beach & has
spectacular views and good service & food.
We went there & various other places on the
island in the evenings. We were very
pleased.
I had a loft-unit which had a kitchen with all
the essentials including newer appliances &
full-size referigerator [not bar-size].
A bit of minor paint touch-up on the wood trim
on the staircase would be the only thing it
needed. Over-all as nice or nicer than most
timeshare units at other resorts.
My AC unit didn't appear to be cooling
properly & maintenance came promptly w/in
an hour of my call. My human error on the dial
setting! But he was very nice just the same.
I would highly recommend the Beach Club and
would be glad to answer any questions if
contacted directly.
