We enjoyed a fabulous week at this resort. Most days we walked to breakfast and dinner at a variety of local restaurants. We loved the boardwalk for long walks each day! The beach is right there across the street. We also used the resort pool. Great staff, tons to do in the area, and great view of the gulf from the balcony for some quiet rest, too!

My wife and I spent our 30th wedding anniversary at the Wyndham Majestic Sun, and we had a wonderful time! The entire staff was very friendly and supportive, and they provided us with some very nice treats in celebration of our anniversary. We will definitely be returning many times in the future! Boiler Up!

Spend six days there recently. Average property at best. The rooms are very tired and dated. This can be seen throughout the unit, kitchen and living room especially. The unit was painted gray but all of the furniture (also tired) was set to match the previous neutral color. Units need more than a paint job. Also, a strange smell of air freshener which always makes me suspect!

      Pro's:

location - immediately access to an amazing beach and overall nice zone within the Destin area.

Staff - overall, very nice and helpful. Good pre-visit communication. The Wyndham attempts to have you sign up for the timeshare presentation. This is a soft sell which I appreciate since I am already an owner elsewhere. Certainly no interest in another timeshare.

We have been to Majestic Sun twice in the last two years - once for spring break and once in June. It was spectacular both times! Traffic in Destin is heavier in June, but once you get to the resort, it doesn't feel crowded - even though the resort is completely full.

The ocean view is at an angle, but we enjoyed it a great deal - and could hear the waves from the balcony. There is a small road that must be crossed to access the beach, but traffic is not heavy and cars are going quite slowly and often stop for pedestrians even if they're not in the crosswalk. The soft, white-sand beaches and clear blue-green water make this our favorite of all the beaches we have visited.

We have stayed in a one-bedroom unit and a two- bedroom unit. They are quite spacious and the kitchens are very well equipped. There is a TV in the living room and in every bedroom. The two-bedroom unit accomodates eight very easily.

The Fairfield Majestic Sun building is located on the Seascape resort, which has a golf course and many condo buildings, including a large building that runs parallel to the beach and perpendicular to the Fairfield building. There are five pools on the Seascape property, but we used only the one nearest the beach. There are also two hot tubs at this pool. You have to walk a short distance to the main Majestic Sun building to access these, but it wasn't a problem.

Fairfield has lots of activities for kids and grownups, many of which are free. They are also helpful in identifying restaurants and other attractions in the area and offer discounts at many of these places. We particularly enjoyed the dolphin cruise. The Fairfield staff is friendly and helpful; the coffee-maker was leaking, but they replaced it immediately when we reported it. Check-in and check out were quick and easy.

We will definitely go back to the Majestic Sun!

Check-in and check-out were fast and efficient and we did not feel pressured at all to attend any sales presentation.

The FF resoft at Majestic Sun does not face directly the beach. It was built behind another building also called Majestic Sun which is a full condo ownership property. Having said this, the two bedroom units still all have ocean views if you go to the balcony and look to the right.

Our unit was bright, well furnished, maintained and rather spacious. We have small kids so the full size kitchen was quite handy for breakfast and quick meals.

The pools and other amenities are located in the other building and we have to walk across the parking building to gain access to the facilities which is a little awkward. The beach in front of the resort is beautiful taking a short two minutes walk where you would have to go across a small street to get there.

We did not participate in any of the resort activities although it seems that there were good options. Area attractions are plenty: fishing, boat rides, snorkeling, excellent restaurants, water sports and ... the most beautiful beaches: the water is clean, transparent, warm and the sand is the way we like, sugar white and not packed.

Destin is still full of tourists in early August but somehow manages to maintain a nice family atmosphere.

We love beaches and most of our vacations are in beach resorts and Destin is one of our favorite destinations. I would rate this resort an 8.
