My wife and I have been to this resort 10-15 times over the years, first with our two children, then with friends and most recently by ourselves. You have the choice of so many things to see and do or just choose to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. This spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite with lanai features a large primary bedroom with king-size bed and bathroom with a standard shower/tub combination. The second bedroom is furnished with two double beds and includes a bathroom with a standard shower/tub combination. The suite also offers a generous living room with cable TV and a queen-size sleeper sofa, as well as a fully equipped kitchen, and washer/dryer. We would be glad to recommend great restaurants to go to and sights to see and experience.

      Bay Club Resort Description

The Bay Club at Waikoloa is a gated resort managed by Hilton Grand Vacations. It is located 20 minutes north of Kona on the island of Hawaii, aka “The Big Island.”

Several resort amenities add to your vacation experience: beautifully maintained grounds, three pools ranging from adult to family in appeal, two pool-side bars, a putting green, hot tubs, tennis courts, a fitness center, business center, and BBQs. Guests enjoy 2-3 evenings of live entertainment, mid-week cleaning and linens, free Wi-Fi and free parking. A complementary resort shuttle takes you to nearby shopping, restaurants, grocery, a movie theatre, golf, and a salt and pepper sand beach. We have always found the staff to be friendly and responsive.

The 1-bedroom units posted are located on the first or second floor and are very spacious (825 sf). (see included current images) Elevators are available. They feature wrap-around lanais with 2 lounges and a table/4 chairs for outdoor dining. Units are air-conditioned and include 2 TVs with cable. They do not have a golf course view.

For golfers, the Waikoloa Beach Resort offers a championship golf course, and guests can play 18 holes at reduced rates. Bay Club guests can also book services at the spa, enjoy the hotel’s pools and water slides, or use paddle-boats and sport toys at the man-made salt water lagoon for an additional fee. The concierge can provide more information.

A rental car is recommended to fully enjoy all the island has to offer. The Bay Club is not on the beach, but two amazing white sand beaches are 15-20 minutes away: Mauna Kea and Hapuna. Fodors rates these beaches as 2 of the top 10 in the world. Both offer opportunities to snorkel, paddleboard and boogie board.

The concierge will help you arrange sunset sails, snorkeling, zip lining, whale watching (November-April), restaurant reservations and other activities. You may also wish to make a full-day trip to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (~3 hours away). Be sure not to miss the Hawaii Tropical Botanic Garden, a trip to the Mauna Kea observatory, a helicopter ride, or the sleepy little town of Hawi and a hike down to the black sand beach. There are 13 ecosystems on earth and 11 are present on the Big Island, so any day trip will take you through several. Enjoy!
