Remarkable and unexpected! My wife and I booked 5 nights for our anniversary in November and consider ourselves lucky to extend to 7 nights. Because of COVID, all of Ocean Drive in the South Beach area was open to pedestrians only. Restaurant activity spilled out onto Ocean Drive making the urban experience animated, colorful, and engaging. Guests at Marriott Vacation Club Pulse, South Beach have a discount at the Havanna 1957 Cuban restaurant located at the same address. It's so convenient - especially for a quick breakfast literally across the street from the beach.
Tip #1: Marriott Vacation Club Pulse, South Beach offers a beach cart complete with 2 beach chairs, towels, a beach umbrella, and softside cooler. In fact, it's right in your guest room! Considering rentals available from vendors at South Beach, the beach cart and equipment are a value in and of itself.
Tip #2: The Pulse South Beach is across the street from the entrance to South Beach. Walk out of the hotel into the Park, follow the path through the dunes and you are on the beach.
Tip #3: Sign up at the Concierge for a preview tour. Request a guest pass for the Royal Palm South Beach Hotel about 2 blocks north of the Pulse. Redeem your pass at the Front Desk of the Royal Palm. (Hold onto the card - Contrary to what MVCI tells you, it's good for your entire stay)
Tip #4: Make sure to get a list of the restaurants that honor Marriott Vacation Club and give a discount on meals.
Tip #5: Prepare to explore South Beach on foot. Bring comfortable walking gear. If you need to go anywhere far, just book a cab.
Tip #6: The Pulse has activities including Happy Hour with free drinks and entertainment. The margaritas hit the spot.
Tip #7: Pack light. No need to bring your closet. There are free guest laundry facilities at the rear of the lobby. There's a Walgreens a block away.
