Remarkable and unexpected! My wife and I booked 5 nights for our anniversary in November and consider ourselves lucky to extend to 7 nights. Because of COVID, all of Ocean Drive in the South Beach area was open to pedestrians only. Restaurant activity spilled out onto Ocean Drive making the urban experience animated, colorful, and engaging. Guests at Marriott Vacation Club Pulse, South Beach have a discount at the Havanna 1957 Cuban restaurant located at the same address. It's so convenient - especially for a quick breakfast literally across the street from the beach.

Tip #1: Marriott Vacation Club Pulse, South Beach offers a beach cart complete with 2 beach chairs, towels, a beach umbrella, and softside cooler. In fact, it's right in your guest room! Considering rentals available from vendors at South Beach, the beach cart and equipment are a value in and of itself.

Tip #2: The Pulse South Beach is across the street from the entrance to South Beach. Walk out of the hotel into the Park, follow the path through the dunes and you are on the beach.

Tip #3: Sign up at the Concierge for a preview tour. Request a guest pass for the Royal Palm South Beach Hotel about 2 blocks north of the Pulse. Redeem your pass at the Front Desk of the Royal Palm. (Hold onto the card - Contrary to what MVCI tells you, it's good for your entire stay)

Tip #4: Make sure to get a list of the restaurants that honor Marriott Vacation Club and give a discount on meals.

Tip #5: Prepare to explore South Beach on foot. Bring comfortable walking gear. If you need to go anywhere far, just book a cab.

Tip #6: The Pulse has activities including Happy Hour with free drinks and entertainment. The margaritas hit the spot.

Tip #7: Pack light. No need to bring your closet. There are free guest laundry facilities at the rear of the lobby. There's a Walgreens a block away.

We had a WONDERFUL vacation at Marriott Pulse Miami South Beach! It is in the heart of South Beach and in the middle of everything. To top it off, -- it's oceanfront! We took our family for a four-night getaway in December. Our room was lovely and we had views of the ocean. We slept in the king bed and our son slept on the pullout couch. We still had room for all of our gear. There was a lovely welcome basket full of treats awaiting us! The room is laid out well to maximize space and the bathroom is super cute! It was super hot outside, but the air conditioner worked perfectly in our room. Having free washers and dryers was an added perk that we did not expect, but were extremely grateful for!

The STAFF was world-class! Our Bellman: met us at the parking deck (at (ZOcean Hotel) with a cart, pleasantly loaded our stuff, and led us to the hotel. In all we were traveling for three weeks, so we had A Lot of stuff (yes, we tipped generously). He was great! We saw him from time to time throughout our stay and he was always busy wiping down the elevator buttons, handrails, bikes, and everything else. Even though covid was still happening, we felt really safe there. The Front Desk Staff: was Delightful! From the time we arrived they called us by our name... wow! They kind of sang our name in a pleasant hellooo Ms. ---. It was rather interesting and felt lovely. They were eager to answer questions and help. There was always a smile on everyone's faces.

The LOCATION: We loved being right immediately on Ocean Drive because we could walk outside of the hotel and be able to see everything around us! Immediately outside of the hotel is Havana 1957 restaurant. I would've liked to have eaten on their patio, but there was always a wait, so we went UPSTAIRS TO THE ROOF. We LOVED eating our family on the ROOF of the HOTEL! The view was GORGEOUS! In the mornings we had breakfast on the roof and in the evenings, we had dinner there. It's a perfect place to sit because we could see everything and were often serenaded by the music below.

Things To Do: The hotel supplies each room with a cart and all the beach supplies you'll need for a good time! Walk outside of the front door and there’s the South Beach! The hotel has bikes in the lobby and you can check them out for 2 hours at a time. We did this multiple times and rode along the beach, paths, or Ocean Drive. We often walked to Lincoln Mall 5-7 minutes, Venezuelan Bakery for breakfast (3-5 minutes), or to Washington Avenue to catch the Big Bus.

    We can't wait to return!

Resort does not have its own parking. Closest parking is the Miami Beach Muni parking on 13th St literally a half a block away. Overnight was $20-$28 and it has two security officers patrolling the garage. Felt safe leaving my car there. 4 levels of parking conveniently close to the resort.

Marriott Vacation Club Pulse, South Beach does not have a pool, the beach is literally across the street. If you sign up for a Marriott Vacation Club preview tour, make sure to request a pass which you can redeem at that Royal Palm Hotel, about 2 blocks North. The guest pass enables you to use the pool at the Royal Palm.
