    Morgantown, West Virginia

The spacious townhouses of Lakeview Golf Resort and Spa are set in the hills of northern West Virginia, overlooking Cheat Lake and bordering two 18-hole championship golf courses. Dine at the quality "Reflections on the Lake" restaurant, or pass the time in "Legends Sports Bar and Deck", both located on-site. Enjoy the tennis courts, and an adult fitness and sports center (must be 16 to utilize). Available in the area are such activities as boating and white water rafting, cave exploration, and rock climbing. Major ski areas are just an hour's drive away.

Lakeview Resort Club is also an ideal place to have an engagement party or rehearsal dinner. Out-of-town guests will enjoy the luxurious accommodations and amenities such as a heated outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool, and sauna.

This resort is time-share and conference center. It has a high occupancy rate in the summer due to the location but also had a lot of activity at the conference center. It has two golf courses which get a lot of play and challenging; Lakeview and Mountain View. It has very beautiful scenery overlooking Cheat Lake and some great restaurants being a college town. The timeshare was dated--built in 1950's. The unit is a two level two bedroom with a queen in the master, two singles in the 2nd bedroom and a sofa couch. The queen was very squeaky and I don't think the other beds were too comfortable--need to be updated. There are no ceiling fans in the upstairs bedrooms; warm. It worked out okay for a girls golfing/bridge trip for a few days. The units have not been upgraded. Dining room chairs dirty and couldn't be cleaned. We arrived and there were still crumbs in the living/dining room area. Housekeeping came right away to vacuum but still was a little dirty--vacuum not too good.

Morgantown is a great little college town. We found some great restaurants--Oliverio's on the Wharf, The Lakehouse on Cheat Lake, Glasshouse Grill, and Sargasso's. Worth trying them. The people are very friendly. The Wharf District is along the Monongahila River and you can walk. The Seneca Center used to be a glass factory and now houses gift shops and the Glasshouse Grill restaurant. There is plenty to do on the Cheat Lake as well. Good place to vacation with family.
