I gave an overall rating of 4 but if I could rate the price/feature value I would give a 5. This resort is a little bit quirky so if you know how to avoid the challenges you will have a wonderful vacation.

First and biggest challenge is the temperature in the rooms during the early spring and early fall if you are staying in the 4-story building behind the main office. The building can only be on heat or air condition. It can't offer both at the same time. It turns out that when a switch is made the maintenance operator gets to set a minimum or maximum temperature threshold where heat or air will come on even if you have turned it off. But, if you ask for Will (maintenance manager). He can individually set the thermostat threshold for your individual unit. He set the heat on the building to 72 but was very happy to set my individual unit to 68. I have health issues so it is EXTREMELY important I be able to control the temperature. I also have allergy issues so I am not satisfied with just opening the windows in fall when allergies are bad.

I prefer the standard units to the Signature units because I just can't figure out the appliances in the Signature units.

I also prefer the the three buildings to the side of the main office that have drive up units on the first floor. If you call the morning of check-in, they will accommodate specific location request if they can.

The resort is not accessibility friendly. Holiday Inn bought this resort and renovated the interior spaces. You have to park in a handicap space a significant distance from most doors.

Don't unload when it is raining. You are going to get drenched. No options for unloading under an overhang.

That is what to avoid. If you avoid those items, the resort is awesome!!! Love the location and the value.

I stayed there five times in 2018 so my experience is very recent.

Note that the new construction is not close to existing villas. It is beside the pool.

Stayed a couple days with my two kids just to hide out and relax. It is a lot smaller and quieter than the other Holiday Inn Club Vacation resorts we have stayed in. We stayed onsite except to go to IHOP across the street. The amenities bulding is new and shiny. Bowling alley is state of the art. The staff was incredibly nice and responsive. The indoor pool is a little chilly but the room is hot so it was not bad. Nice workout room too. Stayed in a Signature Collection 2 bedroom which was almost too nice for our usual vaction style. The kids loved the Xbox in the room and free xbox and board game rentals plus free movie check out from the front desk.
