MountainLoft Resort II

This resort is in a great location. We had soo much fun in the area. Between the Smoky Mountains national park & all of the activities in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, there is not enough time to do it all !!!

I stayed there in early October, 2011. Great location, close to Gatlinburg but far enough away that there is no noise. The front desk staff is excellent, very accomodating. ML II is built into the mountainside, and we were initially booked into a 'basement' first floor unit where the front door was below the parking lot. We had our unit assignment changed with no problem. There are excellent restaurants, in particular the farmhouse mill in Pigeon Forge and the steak house in Gatlinburg. (But avoid the seafood buffet on the main road.) Wonderful shops in town and the Aquarium and Titanic are great attractions. The only real problem was the location and size of the bedroom. Our queen size bed was located by the outside corridor and the large window had only blinds with warped slats, letting in enough daylight to read a newspaper by. It took several hours for maintenance to install new blinds, and we still had to hang a blanket over the window to try to darken the room enough enough to sleep. That was not very effective. Fortunately our neighbors were very quiet as they walked past. Also, there was no balcony. In the one bedroom units the sliding glass door opens to a railing. You cannot step out or sit outside. The living room furnishings were very comfortable, and the kitchen was complete, a 'galley' style. We sat through the obligatory sales pitch, but did not buy any overpriced points from BlueGreen. You can get a much better points deal on Redweek, and the price of our rental, again through Redweek, was excellent. Tennessee is beautiful, ML II is nice, and I would go there again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The mountain views are beautiful, and local shops and restaurants are close by. There is a large grocery store just a block north of the entrance, convenient for all your grocery needs. I know we as a family usually eat half of our meals in the room to save for other fun things to do. Spring break is a great time to go because the bears are just coming out of hibernation, and everything is beginning to turn green. Also, the crowds are not as bad as in the Fall and Summer.

I have spent time in this resort with my family and it is very nice, new, upscale furniture and decorations, mountain views breathtaking. Location is very nice and Gatlinburg has so much to offer for all ages! Looking forward to stay again and again!

We have spent many vacations at Mt. Loft, all seasons. Fall is our favorite time of the year. The resort is beautiful and the accommodations are very attractive. It is located in the Smoky Mtns., and there are a number of attractions and activities for all ages. It is a must see to appreciate.
