Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort Reviews & Ratings

This is the best resort for Carlsbad with its location and amenities. We have hosted guests from Arizona, Oregon, and Utah to stay in our unit. They love it and they come back! We offer a two bedroom which are few on the property. It offers our guests lots of room sleeping up to six people comfortably. You have the big blue ocean just steps away. Enjoy beautiful sunsets, too!

We have been visiting Carlsbad Inn for the past 33 years and have not missed a single year, generally staying there 3 times a year. Our four kids live in different locations from us, but without fail we gather every summer at Carlsbad Inn. Walk across a narrow alley-street and down some steps and you’re on the beach. There are multiple restaurants within two minutes of walking. You are right by the boardwalk for a two or three or 5 mile stroll along the coast line. It’s incredible!

Carlsbad Inn's prime location so near the ocean, restaurants and shops makes it the ideal place to stay. The Courtyard, which this unit overlooks, is gorgeous. The friendliness of the staff and activities add to the pleasure of a stay at CBI.

So convenient....you can park your car for a week and walk everywhere in downtown Carlsbad!

We love the Carlsbad in Resort. You cannot beat the location, it is so well run and very clean. We especially love the adult Jacuzzi and the gym. It’s very centrally located and you can walk to so many places within 10 minutes.

Great location with easy access to the water. Very attentive staff. Many new upgrades, and a full kitchen. Great spring break from the weather elsewhere!

Ring in the New Year in style! Right across the street from the beach, in the heart of downtown Carlsbad! Shopping, dining, golf courses, 3 miles from LegoLand. You can’t go wrong with this resort or it’s location! ENJOY you deserve it…

Beautiful ocean resort with all the amenities and a wonderful family atmosphere. We've been bringing our family for 17 straight years and intend to keep coming for at least another 17 years.

It's an absolutely amazing resort. The places kept spotless. It is so clean and they are so attentive to your needs. It is close to so many wonderful California attractions..

There are fire rings in the quad for sitting and enjoying family and friends. The grounds are laid out with seasonal flowers. The pool area has been expanded, and there's newer furnishings-- lounge chairs, sofa style outdoor chairs. It's a tropical destination-- moderate temperatures, close proximity to the ocean and town. I've stayed here MANY times. It's my favorite resort any time of year. The surf in front of the resort is great for families, great for surfers. 2nd and 3rd floor units have varying degrees of ocean views. I've stayed on the end (311) and had the FULL ocean view. Rooms facing street get noise from trash dumpsters. Rooms on the bottom floor facing the courtyard are golden if you value peace/quiet and proximity. Upper floor units require you to walk upstairs or take an elevator and then walk down a long winding hall. For the easiest access to everything, I recommend the first floor units facing the courtyard. Most of these units still have some ocean view too. Either way, the resort is amazing. There are TONS of activities to fill the day if you want to just stay there. It's the perfect place to just park and stay. All your entertainment, shopping, etc., is within a short walk.

The beach is just down some steps and across a small street. There's a reason why people seek this place out for summer rentals... it's a hot spot. I wouldn't call it crowded, but it certainly is active. Personally, I like staying at the place where people go to get married... where people walk around just to observe the view, look at the landscaping flowers and enjoy the grounds.

Live music on the lawn on weekends, wine and cheese socials, sun-bathers, readers/relaxers, families, honeymooners... they're all there. It can be a lively place. There's a restaurant on the grounds, and they have outdoor dining. There are complimentary bike rentals, games, free surf lessons, casino night and tons of other activities. The activities... the ammenities... We love it there!

We have been going to this resort for over 20 years now since we were kids and grew up here with our family and friends. The Beach is perfect location and the resort is beautiful with the pool and then also the adult jacuzzi! Walking distance to so many great restaurants. Our unit is 322 on the 3rd floor which has the perfect sunset view for the sunset and faces the green grass area to listen to all the live music!

There is no better beach resort than Carlsbad Inn. You can park your car and never use it again. The beach is just steps from the ocean water. Restaurants from 5 star to takeout within 10 minute's walk. we go every summer

This is such a great resort. Beautiful views centrally located near downtown Carlsbad. People are friendly and helpful. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Totally a great way to enjoy the beautiful beach in San Diego, Location is excellent with all the amenities you need and the staff are friendly and accommodating, they are there to please and provide what ever you need to make your vacation and home away from home. The community is trendy and full of activities to keep the whole family busy and relax at the same time. The memories you make here is something you'll always remember with your family!

Our family has owned a Timeshare at the Carlsbad Inn for over 30 Years. Ground level unit with a view of the water from patio. BBQ area and stone fireplace just outside the doors of our unit. Incredible restaurants (Jay's Italian, Nortes Mexican) walking distance. Chairs & umbrellas offered to guests to take down to the sand each day for the week with no cost. New pool and Spa area with a computer work station off of lobby for those that need to access. Lawn with firepits & lounges.

This July 4th week. The best party of the year at the Beach! Is a 2 bedroom, 2 Bath, sleeps 6 comfortably and in very desirable Carlsbad California. Great family fun and memories. So many percs at this resort and this adorable village on the ocean. We have been traveling to Carlsbad Inn every Fall and Spring Break for over 25 years. It keeps getting better and better if that is possible. The grounds are well maintained, so beautiful. Dozens of restaurants are and surf shops are within walking distance. A short 30 minute drive to San Diego where you can enjoy the SD zoo, Sea world , more beaches. Lots of shopping. But best amenity of all is the proximity to the sand at the Pacific Ocean. Look at the resort website and see all the resort has to offer, most everything is complimental as a guest. .

This is a well maintained resort that has gone through a multi million dollar upgrade / remodel. The perfect location downtown, just off the beach. Great spot for a holiday break / beach vacation or a quiet getaway. The unit we had was huge, faced the ocean and had a gigantic working gas fireplace! This place is awesome!
