Beautiful location along the Koala shoreline. Unit has full kitchen and washer and dryer. Close to Botanical gardens and safe snorkeling beach

This resort has has been great for us - it's convenient for all of the Poipu Beach / Koloa activities (which are the safer areas to swim/snorkel in the winter). The beds are comfy, the kitchenette and grills allow us to cook some of our meals, and the pool and hot tubs are favorites of our kids.

The staff at the resort have been great, and it's always been clean. We have also enjoyed the activities available while we're hanging out at the resort.

Unit facing Ocean. Beautiful gardens throughout the resort. Beautiful pool and walking trails along the coast where you see many turtles. Great amenities and the staff is very friendly and helpful. You are only five minutes away from Poipu Beach .

Great setting and resort atmosphere. Full kitchen, 2 full bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Great beds. Amazing and picturesque pool area.

Beautiful. We were just here April 19th-26th, 2021. As far as staff & service, I would say that they are not back to pre-COVID standards. Currently, they are making upgrades as far as new countertops & appliances. My favorite Diamond Resort!

We stayed in building 4 facing the ocean. We rented a unit through Redweek because our ownership does not kick in until next year. There are four levels at The Point: Ocean Front, Ocean View, Partial Ocean View, and Garden View. We rented an Ocean Front unit.

The unit was very well done. The bathrooms were very nice and the rest of the unit was well done too. The walkways and pools are renovated and feel very upscale. The view was fantastic.

The location is one of the best on the south shore. There is a paved path which runs over to the Grand Hyatt with its beach, entertainment, and restaurants. Another path runs along the ocean. You are close to Keoki's which is a great restaurant for upscale casual dining.

We own a unit every other year but are considering purchasing an every year unit. It is becoming a great place to rent or to own.

We've been owners here since 2003 and love the location and resort. Obviously we were disappointed in the large assessment to all owners about 4 years ago when it was discovered that the exterior walls of the buildings had salt intrusion and needed to be replaced, but aside from the surprise large assessment (which has now been fully paid) we are very pleased with the resort and the exterior work is almost completed. It looks very nice.

Unfortunatly this resort is now going through a five year plan that will totally distroy the resorts atmosphere and beauty .

The owners would like you to go to facebook and join the crowd who are upset with DRI the resort magagment and their strong arm tactics. Be aware that any purchase at this ressort will incure a $5000.00 special assesment and you will have no say in how your resort is run because Diamond resorts runs the board to their addvantage.

The owners just filed a class action law suit against Diamond Resorts and it's owner and Board members

As of 2/12/2017. The last building is being refit. Now however the west side of the resort will soon loose its ocean view as a developer is constructing 10 building sites in front of buildings 3,4,6. So our beautiful view of ancient sacred land will now be residential housing, blasting occurs almost daily to bust up the lava rock o make a level area to build houses.

just spent a week here and a week at the big island. The resort was perfectly located for our planned adventures. I was able to leave the bedroom sliding door open and listen to the waves at night-- amazing! the bay has it's own beach and is perfect for everyone! sunrise is over the bay and sunset is a short walk along the picturesque shore! There is still construction going on, so the checkin area has been relocated - but there was an employee waiting in the lot to excort us there. We did have a front view of the construction right outside our window, but just beyond it, the view was amazing so we put up with the mild inconvenience. The swimming pool is a natural looking lagoon and has a sandy beach surround- kids loved it! The poolside grill is under construction, but the resort set-up a make shift bar with light snacks- so that at least was something. I can understand the disgruntled diamond owners, but I own at sheraton and we received a similar assessment for major improvements, and it was worth it in the long run-- greatly improved the investment! Would definitely return!

Great place for families! Turtles in bay are cool!

We are original owners and have been coming here for years. Our kids have grown up feeling that they knew the true Hawaii because of their time here. The resort has changed hands and lost its fresh luster over the years, but the modernization going on now will take care of that. We enjoy walking along the ocean front to watch for sea turtles,or taking a quick stroll to the local beach. We have been here at varying times during the year, and always gone home feeling refreshed and invigorated by the sea breezes and warm sun of Poipu. We love this resort and plan to return many times in the future!

Love this place. It is not a 5 star for sure, but on the other hand the view can not be beat. We come here every year. The staff is friendly and they strive to please. Our only complaint is the poor building quality - if you are not on the top floor you can hear the footsteps of the people above but that is little reason to stay away.

This a very good resort. The grounds are beautiful. The unit accommodations are also very good. The only problem we encountered was the sighting of a roach or two.

We've been to this resort 5 times since 2000 and now consider it our home away from home. Every time we visit we find it hard to leave. These oceanfront condos are large with plenty of room for families. The Corner units have 1,110 sq. ft. inside and 255 sq. ft. on the Lanai. The Center units have 1,156 sq. ft. inside with a 111 sq. ft. Lanai.

We LOVE this place.

We come here every year and it is so peacefull and beautiful. The location of the property is Ocean Front and with a Turle Cove just by the resort, where many turtles reside. We have always been very well taken care of and the front desk has responded with speed to anything we needed including changing room one year. The Point at Poipu is so close to several beaches and trails, so that if yo don't want to travel away from your resort, you don't have to. We are looking forward to going back soon!

Ocean front is wonderful. The views are spectacular. Lots of turtle spottings. The beach continues down to a sandy area at the Hyatt. This makes for a wonderful relaxed vacation.

Nice resort. 2 Bd Room condo was excellent, clean and well furnished. Grounds are beautiful and pool is great. Morning breakfast could be upgraded but overall an excellent property.

Have been an owner for over 10 years of an even year float and consider The Point the most beautiful and most family oriented, especially for younger children. Jack O. Wood

We have purchased several units for less than $6,000.00 and the developer waived their first right to purchase. It is a great resort for the money and I suggest you only buy through a licensed Hawaii Realty broker if you want a good deal.

This is not about the resort itself but about the new management. We have tired to buy two units for every other year from redweek.com. All owners at Poipu Point have to offer their unit to the managing company for a counter offer before selling. After weeks of waiting and giving a deposit ($1000) both units were bought back by Diamond Inter. Very frustrating. They do not want individual owners to sell for $5000 or $6000 so they will buy the units back after a valid offer is made- and we had to wait 5 weeks for an answer, and then put them on the market for twice the price. Dont' waste your time making an offer on a low priced unit!

This is our "Home away from Home"! We bought about 10 years ago and could not be happier. We spend every other Christmas at The Point. We grill out every night, the kids swim in the pool, and we watch whales from our patio. This is paradise!
