Hanalei Bay Resort Reviews & Ratings

The resort is unbelievable and located in what is considered the best view of all Hawaii which is perched right on the bluff above Hanalei Bay with a trail down to the beach. There is a restaurant with nightly live music, a swim up bar in the beautiful pool with a waterfall and a hot tub with a hot waterfall cascading into it. There are amazing tennis courts and many activities for all ages. The 2 bedroom units are huge with 2 big bedrooms (one with a king, the other with 2 full and a queen Murphy bed in the Living Room...sleeps 8) and 2 full bathrooms, a full kitchen, washer and dryer and 2 big lanai's. The units need remodeled. There old and grungy. We just got home from a ten day stay the first 10 days in March of 2019. Pool area and outside are beautiful. But only a small bar with food. Restaurant is closed.

Hanalei Bay Resort is now managed by Grand Pacific Resorts in Carlsbad, CA and is now totally owned by timeshare owners and private ownership year round. This lovely resort is now back on track with solid management and exchange benefits, a great staff and great improvements at our favorite annual get-a-way after construction winding down. The new restaurant and bar should open soon; the tennis programs and pools are great! The new firepit at sunset, mai tai Mondays, gifted orchids now hugging trees on site, a new lobby and a "delayed guest" facility on site all speak to the energy of this "Heavenly Bay" resort. If you're looking to decompress and discover the meaning of ALOHA, come see why so many of us have made this our home away from home...

This resort has a great Bar/Restaurant and a pizzeria on site with a beautiful waterfall pool. There are multiple tennis courts and pickleball courts. There is a private beach with good snorkling shared with only one other resort. Walking distance to golf course and frisbee golf course. Close to helicopter rides at Princeville airport. Diverse shopping in local Princeville and quick access to the historic Hanalei Bay and Napali Coast.

Air conditioned rooms with full kitchen. Great location in Princeville on the North side of Island. Share the beach with the famous 1 Hotel Hanalei. Eat/Drink at the onsite Happy Talk Lounge. Room conveniently located near main pool/bbq's, tennis courts and pick up spot for shuttle down to beach. The Nene's, wild chickens and other birds are very entertaining.

Absolute gem on Kauai's North Shore. Despite loss of pool service, loss of Bali Hai Restaurant experience, and Resort Management vs. Happy Talk Lounge conflict, staying here still has its charms. If you're looking for vintage Hawaii, dis is da spot.

Incredible place. Beautiful setting - looking out at Puff the Magic Dragon and Bali Hi. Great tennis courts and outstanding salt water pool. The view from Hanalei Bay Resort is often seen in travel magazines featuring Hawaii.

Great location on North Shore that never feels crowded. Great tennis, golf, and cart rides down to the beach, where you can snorkel and paddle board. Unobstructed view of Hanalei Bay!

We have stayed at Hanalei Bay Resort several times for over 10 years. The views and the pool are fantastic! The staff is always friendly and very helpful.

This is the most magical place on earth ... spectacular ocean and mountain views, spacious units with private lanais, and a family ambiance thanks to the gracious staff. It's so fun for kids with the lagoon pools and beach just down the wooded path. And it's a tennis paradise (pickleball, too).

Great resort… peaceful with a great view and swimming pool. Grocery store nearby and close to Hanalei, beaches and golf ! Best on the North Shore …

I have stayed all over Hawaii, I even lived on Maui for a spell. This resort is Old Hawaiiana at it's best. Gorgeous manicured grounds, spectacular pool and incredible Hanalei Bay and Sunset views. The rooms are huge and plush. There are 2 private lanais that run the full length of the units. The crystal clear, white sand, Hanalei bay is a short stroll downhill and a handy golf cart ride back up. Princeville is the charming and lush side of the island. The Aloha is abundant. What more can you wish for!
