La Villa Della Regina resort is at the top of the Gressoney Valley, which has three separate villages -- St Jean, La Trinite and Staffal. The main skiing center is at Staffal. The three valleys have 53 different lifts and approx 200 km. of ski pistes, some of which have snow-making machines. The resort was originally built by a Baron's family and during the 19th century was one of the homes of Queen Margherita of Savoia. Lovingly restored in 1997, the resort has kept much of its original features while giving guests the benefit of modern comforts. There are 17 suites, each one different, comprised of studios, one and two bedrooms. All suites have a partial kitchen, bathroom and comfortable living area. Situated next to the resort is the converted barn which is the resort's restaurant and bar -- a place for meeting people and enjoying the entertainment.
