Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort Reviews & Ratings

We have been staying at this resort for more than 20 years. We love coming here and have been bringing our kids and now our grandkids. The beach is steps away and beach accessories are provided right near the water. There is also a beautiful pool and 2 hot tubs on the property. The staff is so helpful and friendly, and lots of activities are planned each week. Restaurants and shopping surround the resort and there are plenty of adult and family-friendly attractions nearby. I promise it will make your summer!

One bedroom RCI Gold Crown resort. Located in the quaint village of Carlsbad. Upscale neighborhood.

Located 30 miles north of San Diego on the coast. Neat, new, clean and quiet commuter train can be taken to San Diego.

Very family friendly and very safe. We love it. It just doesn't fit our schedule.

Coincides with many highschool spring breaks. Week 14 (Apr 5-12 in 2025).

For more fun in Carlsbad there are five miles of clean, uncrowded beaches for swimming, jogging, fishing, surfing and sunbathing.

Excellent location in downtown Carlsbad. Easily walkable to local restaurants, coffee and ice cream shops, clothing and souvenir stores in downtown Carlsbad.

The ocean is across one small side street and down the stairs to the beach!

I have been an owner at Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort for over 20 years. I have so many wonderful memories of my time here. The resort is maintained by a highly, friendly and professional staff and the resort is always kept in A-one condition with new amenities added on an annual basis. The patio offers a spectacular view of the ocean and amazing sunsets. I hope you will enjoy the resort as much as I have over the past 20 years.

The Carlsbad Inn is a fantastic coastal getaway with a prime location in the heart of Carlsbad Village. You’re steps away from beautiful beaches, quaint shops, and a variety of restaurants. One of the best perks is its proximity to the Coaster train station, just a short walk from the inn. The Coaster offers a scenic and convenient ride along the coast, making it easy to explore other coastal towns or head straight to Old Town San Diego for a day trip. With everything so close, it's perfect for those looking to explore without a car!

If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax DO NOT COME HERE!!! This place is extremely loud with kids screaming, crying, running up and down the halls, slamming doors, adults talking loudly in the halls and courtyards. We stayed on the first floor so it’s even worse. You can feel and hear the pounding of kids and adults walking and slamming doors. Of course there’s quiet time from 9pm-9am but there’s no one here to enforce that policy. My husband and I didn’t get any sleep and are completely dissatisfied with our stay. We paid over $350 a night to stay here. We will never be back, so if you are the manager and read this review, I suggest you do not suggest us coming back again to make it right. You can make it right WITHOUT forcing us to come back to this playground. After reading previous reviews, it was clear to me that they don’t do anything about the noise even if you complain. This place is a complete joke. I will bring awareness to anyone who is planning to stay in Carlsbad to avoid this hotel.

Service was terrible. They never came to our room to clean or bring new towels as scheduled. We had sand in our sheets from the beach and never got clean sheets in a week stay. House cleaning had the audacity to ask for a tip upon checkout! They request a $20 minimum. Of course no tip was necessary. We had to grab towels from the housekeeping bin outside. The rooms were nice and had everything we needed except no house cleaning. There are bugs in the room.

This is a great timeshare! They provide you with all the beach items you’ll need like, beach towels, umbrellas, beach chairs, sand toys, and boogie boards. There is a life guard station to watch over all the guests that are out in the ocean!

Just the perfect property that has everything. Enjoy your week without every using your vehicle. Walking distance: Beach, town and restaurants. Many activities for all ages.

this is an excellent resort for a family vacation...shopping and restaurants are all within walking distance and the Carlsbad Inn has activities everyday for the kids

Excellent resort with an incredible location. Steps away from the beach, restaurants and entertainment.

Recently renovated. Adjacent to a fine beach and an easy walk to clothing, antiques, and many fine dining opportunities. Near Legoland. Surfing and fishing. Less than an hour to San Diego. Friendly staff hosting fun activities for kids. Good family time.

Quaint city of Carlsbad. Beach just across the street. Wonderful picturesque walkway. One hour north of San Diego. Activities aplenty! Resort is clean, staff is helpful.

Property has a large grassy courtyard with firepits, BBQ's, fireplace, tables, chairs, lounge chairs, pool, hot tub, outdoor shower to rinse off, ping pong, activities room, gym, bikes, boogie boards, umbrellas, beach chairs. Beach towels are replaced daily. Parking garage. This is an awesome property and super close to everything! Beach, restaurants, shopping! Owner since 2007 and LOVE IT!
