The beach was well maintained with an abundance of white sand and minimal seaweed. The resort had ample beach lounge chair options with umbrellas, tiki shades, and thai beds to choose from. There are two bars and restrooms right on the beach.

The staff was exceptionally helpful and was willing to go out of their way to accommodate us (ex. Our daughter had a birthday while there and the restaurant servers went to other parts of the resort to get decorations and party hats to celebrate her!).

There were plenty of pools to choose from, but would really like if one of the two hot tubs allowed kids.

The kids club was great with activities like face painting, crafts, and games like an authentic piñata. Our kids usually didn't want to leave.

The rooms were clean, had good air conditioning, and included all the amenities that we expected.

Location, service and outstanding beach. Resort is in great shape and the staff is the best in Cancun. Good restaurant and food options at resort if you go all inclusive, otherwise several great restaurants that the Concierge can recommend and book. I recommend using the onsite Caracol Travel to book your airport transportation.

We stay at the Omni in Cancun for two weeks every year. It is a wonderful venue for couples! The staff is the best! Within the last two years, the owner has put a lot of money into renovation.

One can purchase an all-inclusive plan. If you call the Omni, they will give you "Carocol's #" - you can make affordable arrangements for transportation to and fro the airport.

We rented a timeshare at this hotel for the week of February 21st. It was my first time renting a timeshare so I was a bit nervous. Never did we expect this hotel to be this beautiful, the staff so friendly and the accommodations so inviting. This resort is kept extremely clean from the windows to the grounds. The staff is very friendly, the location is amazing and the food and drinks are delicious! If you are going to Cancun, look no further, we cannot wait to return.

I have to say that I have never had better, more courteous and more pleasant service. This is a 5 star at a 3 star price. We stayed in a deluxe room with a beautiful room of the ocean and the pools...sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking over the water. The food was consistently good and the service was always good. We were unsure if we would like Cancun as much as Aruba where we have stayed several times but we liked it just as much. So many great restaurants great shopping, safe bus transport if you stay in the hotel zone or go to downtown during the day. We would absolutlely stay with the Omni again!

Very nice hotel with great pools, FANTASTIC, FRIENDLY and ATTENTIVE staff. I like the beach in this part of Cancun because we like playing in the waves, which cannot be done at hotels on the sheltered side. We were somewhat disappointed in the beach size which is about 1/4 what it used to be pre Hurricane Wilma. The staff at Aqua World outside by the pool made us feel very welcome especially Alex and Enrique were great! The buffet is good, DiVincys the on site fine Restaurant is great and the PinaCollada beach restaurant is a nice place for breakfast and lunch. Would highly recommend this Hotel. WARNING if you book tours don't do it online, you will spend days just trying to track them down. Best advice don't book online tours, I got this from the staff at the hotel. The only thing that I can say negative about this place is that the beaches are barely a quarter size they were pre hurrican Wilma.

Having just spent two great weeks in Cancun and Merida, my wife and I arrived at the Cancun airport ready to head home to the States, only to be told by Alaska Airlines that our flight was overbooked and would we be willing to be bumped for another flight out the next evening. The airline set us up at the Omni hotel and Villas in a hotel room for the evening. The stay was among one of the best experiences of our vacation. This even though one week previously we had stayed in Cancun at the highly rated Royal Sands. The Omni hotel is top class with well appointed and tastily decorated rooms. Our room overlooked the lagoon and had a very ample balcony. Staff was extremely friendly and very professional. Unique to resorts in Cancun Island, the Omni sits on a hill that the architects and planners have used effectively in laying out the resort with pools cascading down to the beach. This provides for changing and memorable vistas from different parts of the complex. All the pools were well maintained and had unique features like waterfalls and built-in loungers in the pools. The resort is oriented to be able to catch beautiful sunrises from the ocean horizon (which we were lucky to see) and the sunsets over the lagoon.

The airline also covered our dinner and breakfast. We were able to have the all inclusive dinner buffet which had an Italian theme that evening. The food was delicious, of good quality, varied and plentiful. Had drinks at the DaVinci restaurant which was quite elegant and romantic with a harp player with views of the ocean and coastline. After catching the sunrise the next morning we had breakfast at La Paloma restaurant, a Palapa (thash) pavilion on the beach. From any point in the restaurant one has a beautiful panoramic ocean view. Staff at La Paloma was very attentive and again the food was delicious, fresh varied and plentiful. It is very apparent that the resort is well maintained by the large numbers of maintenance staff overseeing every detail. And it is very apparent that the staff is very content as they go about their assignments. My wife insisted that we return to the Omni on our next trip to Cancun. I concurred.
