LBR is absolutely heaven on this earth!!!! You'd be hard pressed to find a nicer, friendlier resort with so many wonderful amenities, pools, hot tubs, full service concierge, full gym, tennis/pickleball, conversation firepits, across from a great snorkeling beach on Kauai's south shore.

Right across the street from ocean. 3 pools. Tennis, Fitness center, putt putt course. beach gear rental onsite.

Lawai Beach Resort is a small piece paradise on an island that is complete paradise! Location is perfect. Spacious, comfortable units with spacious lanais. The staff is filled with Aloha. Pools are beautiful. Views are stunning sunrise to sunset. We have owned in Banyan since 2016 and been visiting since before that since 2013. Every year! Highly recommend this place for couples and families. Our grandkids loved it!!

We Have had this unit for over 20 years,the board and mang. they are on top of everything,4 years ago we approved a complete solar system,also every 5 years,everything in the apartments its repl.or updated, when we go before we leave the mainland we call the order to SAFEWAY in Lihui and pick up all the food, so we are ready to go next day for brakefast, {the service its better at Safeway). This is one of the small things or perkes when you go to Kawai the garden Island.

This is our home resort. It is well maintained by a great staff who will do their best to help make your stay as comfortable as possible. We have never been disappointed with our stay here.

Lawai Beach Resort is one of those fantasy locations that captures everything you could possibly wish for in a Hawaiian vacation experience. Sparkling turquoise water lapping on a white sandy shore. A color kaleidoscope of sunset colors filtered in silhouetted swaying palms. Best of all everything is at your beck and call within easy walking distance. Friendly informative staff and spacious well outfitted accommodations make this a favorite you will come back again and again to!

Ocean front second story unit with great views. Walking distance from great restaurants. Cross the road for one of the best snorkeling beach on the island.

Very nice resort with great location, friendly staff, and great access to a beautiful snorkeling, swimming, and surfing beach. Close to town for all your shopping needs. The deeded week is 51 but floating weeks are most common.

Excellent Resort in paradise. This resort is located in the sunnier, relaxing side of Kauai. You are very close to grocery stores, shopping villages and restaurants that will meet your travelling needs. If snorkeling is your desire, that can happen literally across the road or a short drive away. The only negative is there is no air conditioning in the 1 bedroom units, which can be an issue on the very humid, rainy days. Otherwise, the well vented units do stay comfortable.

We have owned at Lawai Beach Resort for over thirty years. We love this resort and location. The master bedroom of this two bedroom condo faces the ocean. It gives beautiful views and you can fall asleep listening to the gentle sounds of the waves on the beach. The location is near great family restaurants and great shopping. The spouting horn is a short walk from the resort. Great hiking is very nearby also. Most of the staff have been at the resort for many years. They are friendly, polite and always very helpful.

I have owned here since 1990 and have been every year except during Covid. This resort sits right across a small road from the ocean. The vast majority of units have direct gorgeous ocean views and sunsets are great from here. The best south shore snorkeling beach is across the street. Restaurants and shops in a nearby shopping area are in walking distance. The resort itself is exceptionally maintained and staff go out of their way to be helpful and pleasant. The units have full kitchens, large lanais, comfortable beds and furniture with tropical decor. Granite kitchen and bath counters. 2 buildings have in unit washers and dryers.There are 3 buildings, each with pools & hot tubs. The grounds are beautiful. BBQ’s and rooftop fire pit, exercise room, tennis. You will not be disappointed staying here. The location is great and Poipu is known to have the best weather year round.

We've owned multiple units in the Alii building since 1985. We've used our units every year! What makes LBR so special is: 1. The location-right on the ocean! The master bedroom opens to the ocean. Sit on the large Lanai and enjoy the ocean and beautiful sunsets. 2. The grounds are beautifully maintained. 3. Member owned-Individual owners of LBR are responsible for the property and take a personal interest in the property! 4. Staff-The staff recognizes that the owners are in attendance and treat all guests like their the owners. 5. The units have been continually updated. 6. The units are larger than most.

We have been owners since 1995 in the Alli building which has wonderful views of the ocean and very spacious accommodations. We like and own 3 weeks in a two bedroom unit in the Alii building. The master bedroom is up front next to the lanai so you can easily hear the ocean. The staff and ground keepers keep the place very clean and beautiful.

Cons: No A/C so you are reliant on the trade winds to keep you cool which are there most of the time. Multiple fans are available. Privacy - both bedrooms have their own full baths. Very nice walk in shower in the master bath. There are ventilated sliding doors that separate the bedrooms from the public areas. Noise is mostly muted by the sound of the ocean. Quite nice place to stay and relax!

We love, love, love this spot! We have stayed here multiple times over the past twenty years and we enjoy our stay every time. They have renovated and upgraded the units multiple times since we first started staying here. The staff is amazing. The location is superb. The restaurant across the street is wonderful. I cannot say enough about this resort!!!

We have been coming to LBR since 1995. The resort has maintained its Gold Star status by continual upgrades to the units. The grounds and the rooms are always very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is outstanding with close proximity to shopping, beaches, and restaurants with the best snorkeling on Kauai just across the road. The sunsets are spectacular. Our last visit was in July 2019.

We just returned from a week at this resort. It's an older resort and has been renovated. Our unit didn't have an ocean view which was disappointing. There are not many things to do at this place. However, the location couldn't be better. It's right across from the best beach on Kauai for sunsets. We really hated to leave there and are really considering buying a week there. We own 2 weeks in Mexico at a brand new resort so we're kinda spoiled. Next to ours nothing compares. The staff here was really nice and helpful. The grounds were clean and well kept. The kitchen was nice and new. The bad part was the bathroom was really small and the bed wasn't really comfortable. Maybe if we were in a room with a better view I would have given it a better rating.

Since I wrote this review we bought a week here through redweek in the Alii building. We couldn't be happier! Our view was breathtaking and the accomadations were awesome. We stayed with another couple and had plenty of room for all 4 of us. The bathroom was much bigger than the coral and our bed was very comfortable. So was the hideabed. We are very happy and have made reservations for the next 2 years already! We also stayed in Princeville last year but were homesick for the south side of Kauai. And fast forward to 2014 and all the units have been renovated and are spectacular! Can't say enough about how nice it is here. A secret gem in Koloa!

We have just returned from our 6th stay at LBR and continue to find it wonderful. The property and and units are both very well maintained. The resort is quiet (never heard noise from the adjoining propery). The location is the best on Kauai - in sunny Poipu but away from the large resorts. The snorkeling across the street is among the best on the island but is not crowded. For us, LBR provides a superior value in that the resort units are as nice as the higher priced resorts but we aren't paying for amenities we don't use (such as poolside bar service). Of all the time shares at which we have stayed, LBR remains our absolute favorite.

My wife and I stayed at LBR Jan 19 - 26, 2008. It was one of the most fantistic vacations we have had in a long time, and would recomend it to everyone. While there from our room we saw the most wounderful wahle show. We injoyed the ease of moving around the Island. This is a five star place to be. Chuck & Norma Van Sickle Fergus Falls,MN

Massive developement project behind the resort creates a lot of noise starting at 7 AM during the week. The red dirt from the project blows right thru the units. It is truely a mess and not a very pleasent experience if you are there to enjoy the peace and solitude of this very nice resort. Unfortunately this will continue thoughout 2008.

My family of 4 adults and 2 young children stayed two weeks at Lawai Beach Resort beginning on 10/12/07 in a two bedroom unit. The first week was on the first floor in the Alii (RCI exchange) and the second week on the second floor in the Banyan building (we own this one). Both weeks were great. Weather was super for the beach or sitting by the pool. We used the grills located by the swimming pools several times during our stay. They are cleaned each morning by the pool staff. No pre planning just set your pan or something on the table near the grill to get in line for use.

There is construction in the area that is planned for the next several years (private homes and golf course) we inquired about the time they could work and was told they could work between 7:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. The noise was sometimes loud, similar to street sounds, but we were early risers (6 hour difference from the east coast) so we adjusted.

Great resort for kids. Rent your beach gear from Boss Frogs as it cost much less and is in better condition than from the Activity Hut's resort store (not part of the resort just rents space from them and arranges tours, etc). YOU CAN ASK AT THE FRONT DESK IF ANY ITEMS HAVE BEEN LEFT BY DEPARTING GUEST AND IF THEY HAVE CHAIRS, BOARDS, ETC YOU CAN USE THEM AT NO CHARGE. We purchased one week at LBR in 1995 and this was the only time we have used our week. We traded before but will use our week in the future as this really is a GREAT resort compared to several others we have exchanged for.
