Great full service resort with 2 excellent restarants, full work out facility and multiple pools. They have staff who lead programs for all kinds of interests for both physical fitness and hobbyists. The resort location is excellent and is only a 20 minute walk to uptown Sedona. It is also located right next to the art village of Tlaquepaque with it's many art galleries, unique stores and terrific restaraunts.

This resort is located along the Oak Creek, within walking distance to uptown Sedona. It is also next door to Tlaquepaque, with all its unique shops and several restaurants. It has all the amenities of a classy resort, pools, tennis courts, its own restaurants, etc., but you will not spend much time there, because there is so much to see and do in the Sedona area. Once you visit Sedona , you will want to return!

I've been visiting this resort for more than 10 years and each time I return, it is like I'm returning home.

It's ideally located with incredible amenities, so Los Abrigados is the only resort in Sedona I will stay at.

I have stayed at Los Abrigados for many years. Autumn is my favorite time for the fall colors around Walnut Creek at the rear of the property. All of the best shops, restaurants, and and galleries are in walking distance of this historic resort. There are many fine resorts in Sedona but this is my favorite for service, comfort and friendliness.

My husband and I have owned at Los Abrigados since 2008 and have made great use of our annual week. We love the location right in the middle of Sedona. We walk almost everywhere we go and have many favorite restaurants nearby.

There have been great improvements since Diamond Resorts took over. We have chosen not to convert to their point system and will never attend another one of their sales offers again. But, we still love the resort with it's beautiful grounds. Every unit we have stayed in has been a one bedroom, updated with comfy new bedding and furniture. The pool areas have also been completely redone. The main pool is open and heated all year long. We were there between Christmas 2017 and for New Years Eve just recently and were surprised that we could sit out by the pool and enjoy the warm weather(69-71 degrees)!

We also enjoy the well equipped fitness center and spa, also recently updated. The staff there is outstanding and they have great classes, as well. Many of the same energetic instructors have been there for many years. So fun to see familiar faces and smiles!

There are also unlimited red rock hikes that we enjoy, especially when it is too hot in Phoenix! Our stay at Los Abrigados makes this one of our favorite annual trips.

My family of 4 recently stayed at the resort. My daughter is in a wheelchair so the resort held a room on the bottom floor easily accessible from the parking lot. The resort was decorated with over a million lights for the holidays, it was beautiful and a lot of fun for the kids to go looking at lights. Free of course for guests. The resort served hot chocolate along the way and had a fire pit ready with warm chilli!

The resort is in a great location in the heart of Sedona near uptown for shopping, more restaurants ( if you choose not to eat at the resort.) and jeep tours.

The staff is friendly and the rooms were very clean. I would highly recommend!

I exchange into Sedona the end of April every other year--the last two times at Los Abrigados. Last year my unit was right on the road and I asked for a change and received it. Traveling alone it is a great place to be. It is dark and small and does not have the great hot tubs like in the villas but you cannot beat the location. I love it and will continue to return. Will try to exchange in or buy soon.

Grounds and staff very nice. the concierges are terrific especially Jakie but all of them. The spa is good with great instructors. The timeshare units are like a slum. they feel old, dark and dirty. I had a bug in bed with me one night. The bathrooms are small and disgusting and we were told we had a refurbished room. That's a joke. I would not stay here again because of the rooms. Parking at night is also very difficult. there are not enough spaces. They are supposedly building new beautiful units. How does that work if you don't take care of what you already have??? Buyers and traders beware. if you are accustomed to staying in a timeshare that rates 7 or above on a 1-10 scale don't stay/buy here. It is about a 5 in the units. We stayed there in Oct. 2007.

I just returned from a one week stay at this resort and I can confirm that every positive thing that you read here about this resort is true. The whole atmoshpere of the resort is like none other. the pools are well heated, the resort is clean, the units are small, compared to some that we've stayed in, but very well kept and roomy enough. The views and resturant ,pools, exercise room,in the resort are fantastic. I cannot imagine anyone not liking this resort.

We visited Los Abrigados this past summer for the first time and loved it so much that we bought a timeshare there. We had a wonderful one bedroom unit that had a balcony that looked out at Snoopy Rock. We loved the pool area, exercise facilities, beautiful grounds, and the 3 great 5 star restaurants at the resort. We could walk to Talaquepaque and enjoyed being able to go to many day trips in the surrounding area--- train ride in the Verde Valley, Jerome, Flagstaff, and the Grand Canyon. The resort is very clean and the concierge staff is extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. An added benefit was the constant symphony of birds. Breathtaking views are everywhere and the hiking is awesome.

Just returned from our first stay in Los Abrigados and it was very memorable. You are in the center of everything in Sedona. The resort was beautiful, and lush - the grounds attract a lot of birds. We highly recommend Savannah's Restaurant in Sedona for a special dinner. Also we loved Joey's at Los Abrigados and On the Rocks serves a very nice breakfast if you want to eat out before the days activities. Wonderful scenery, lots to do and see within an hours drive. Indian ruins, petroglyphs, National Parks & National Monuments, Grand Canyon (2 hrs away) wonderful scenic drives in all directions. Can't wait to go back!!!!!!!!!

Just returned from our stay April 16 - 23, 2006. Had a great time. Stayed in a 1BR rehabbed Jerome unit. It was very clean and well-equipped, but was quite dark as others have stated. The bedroom in particular was VERY dark -- however, the living room/kitchen received morning sun, which was nice. The rehabbed units have a small kitchenette consisting of a small refrigerator/freezer, microwave, full size dishwasher, toaster oven and 2burner stove. Perfectly sufficient for all cooking needs, plus there are BBQ's on the property. We found the restaurants in Sedona book up very quickly, and often have long waits, so having a 1Br suite rather than a hotel room in which we could prepare our own breakfast and oftentimes lunch and/or dinner, was a big plus. With kids, this is also a big moneysaver :-)

We were very happy with Los Abrigados' location centrally located in Sedona and walkable to many shopping areas. We particularly loved the games on-site: mini golf, tennis, basketball, bocce ball, paddle tennis, horseshoes. The ILX Premiere Country Club, as it's called, has all these facilities right on Oak Creek, so it's very picturesque. We used it every day! The pools are also nice, and one pool has food & beverage service, which is very convenient.

We had a great time in Sedona, kept busy the entire week and will definitely go back again. We would happily stay at Los Abrigados again - the central location, having something larger than a hotel room with the ability to make our own meals, beautiful grounds and outdoor amenities (mini-golf, etc.) made it a perfect choice.

We spent a week here in late June of 2004, and this was our third visit to Los Abrigados. We are headed back this August and have plans for MANY more stays into the future!

We go for 2 weeks at a time and always try a different place the 2nd week - this year it will be Arroyo Robles - our 1st time at that timeshare.

At Los Abrigados the grounds, architecture and landscaping make me feel that I've found my piece of heaven. It's quiet, reflective and I can sit at Oak Creek for hours doing hardly anything at all, which is normally impossible for me.

Yes! The 1 bedroom units are in dire need of some major spit and polish, properly working drawers and a more functional kitchen. I wish the bar at the pool was open a bit longer and was more varied. I wish the pool opened at 5am.

But most of all I wish I could live at Los Abrigados!

As for theft, that should be addressed for sure. I've lost a few items over the years and it hurts, it's a personal invasion! About 30 years ago I was at the Waldorf and someone took my favorite bracelet, that I had pretty steadily worn for some 20 years! It wasn't valuable, except to me for all the memories it held!

I really like the staff, and everyone has their cranky days - even in public service! Just make sure you greet them with a huge honest smile!

I have stayed at Orange Lakes, Vistana, Westin Kierland, Disney and many of the top timeshares. I have stayed at the J.W. Marriott's Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, El Conquistador in Tucson, and many MANY other $400.00 per night hotels....Sorry, they are in the end just buildings! BUT MY HEART BELONGS TO LOS ABRIGADOS, BECAUSE IT LIVES AND BREATHS!!

I have stayed at 3 other newer timeshares in Sedona that did not charm me much at all, not the happiness I get at LA!! Even the Enchantment resort did not give me the warmth, although they do really shine!

For me it's the calmness of LA that's perhaps the true winner, wandering over to watch a a dress rehearsal of the Taming of the Shrew at Tlaquepaque, sitting by a bubbling fountain surrounded by flaming red flowers climbing the adobe walls, wandering back for a drink on the veranda and reading by the creek until the light fades away. Getting a little early tennis in before tea on the balcony.

I can accept the roughness of the rooms for the beauty that surrounds them is so much more!

I know ILX will get it together eventually, they must have a sense of the wealth and riches they have in Los Abrigados! They will be true to it's heritage in time!

By all means go to the Hyatt Pinion Pointe while in Sedona if you want a 5 star timeshare, or Enchantment for a lovely top rated resort, just leave me here please! ENJOY THE MOMENT - IT ONLY HAPPENS ONCE!
