We stayed for a week in March 2005, in one of the non-rehabed units. There is not much of a kitchen and the room seemed dark, but was clean and neat.

The grounds are beautiful. There is sometimes a delay getting out of the driveway because the adjacent shopping center uses the same exit.

We sat in on a sales presentation. It appears that part of the maintenance fee is being used to upgrade the units. This is nice for existing owners, but new buyers pay full price and then have to pay for rehab with their future maintenance fees. Not a good deal on that score.

WE absolutely loved Los Abrigados! The studio was pleasantly furnished, with a kitchenette (UPDATED!) fireplace, large bath area and a jacuzzi right outside our door!

    The scenery is breathtaking!

This resort has stepped it up to make it a top resort! We visited the 2 room, full kitchen, laundry and jacuzzi and it was great!

    Going back!

Stayed for 1 week in Feb 2004 in a Jerome Room which is a one bedroom and was pleasantly surprised with the resort. The Italian Resaurant's food was incredible. The spa was nice and massage great. The rooms were 0kay. Small kitchenette but we were told they were upgrading to full very soon. The bed was very comfortable. Some of the staff wasn't as nice as you'd expect from the service industy and all in all it was a nice stay.

Four of us stayed in one of the suites (September '03), and we found it comfortable. The staff was very helpful and the location can't be beat. The decor was a bit dated, and it was not "plush," but it was clean and the beds were firm. In hotel terms, it was like staying at a Holiday Inn.

One note, this resort was recently named in a class action lawsuit. It's basically a breach of contract, alleging that IXC failed to provide the type of accomodations that were advertised and failed to make units available when promised.

This is a perfect spot for us ... natural beauty, fun/active location, and a down to earth spa. (only complaint is that the aerobics classes are too close to some of the massage rooms but the staff were more than helpful in solving th problem ...it is an issue with an inflexible Spa manager but the staff will look out for you when you make an appointment)...The Spa has 1st rate massages, facials, hydrotherapy, workout facilities and pool. The condos are spacious, private and the beds and couches are as comfortable as can be. (Soon the decor will need a little updating). Perfect for a getaway for one traveling alone. or as a couple or as a family. Sedona has it all and Los Abrigados is the best place to be.

We spent a t/s week there from 9/05/2003- 9/12/2003 on an exchange through SFX. We stayed in a 1BR unit. We were not happy with our initial assignment so they very willingly switched us to another. They went out of their way to makie sure that we were happy,. This unit was excellent. It was very well located and was one of the few that had a view of the rocks from our balcony. The only downside is that the unit did not have a full kitchen and only a very small refrigerator.

The resort itself is beautiful, well maintained, and very well located. The staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all it was one of our best timeshare experiences and we will definitely go back.

Perfect location in Sedona and a first class resort in every respect. Beautifully landscaped grounds, 3 on-site restaurants (2 gourmet), full-service spa and health club. All popular with guests and locals alike.

Do not expect condo-style accomodations with full kitchens. The studio, 1 or 2 bedroom units are comparable to spacious lodging at four- star hotel resorts, and the full range of amenities provide a similar experience. Excellent value, either as rental or purchase.

My wife and I have been an owner since 1991.This used to be a nice resort, but has gone significantly downhill since Diamond Resorts took it over. In their typical efforts to cut costs they have made this resort undesirable for the typical traveler. Our maintenance fees are ridiculous and continue to climb. There are much better places to stay in the Sedona area. I am dissatisfied with Diamond Resorts and unless significant improvements are made we will be placing our unit on the market.
