We had two 2-bedroom units on June 21-28, 2009. We were in Units 1034 and 1035 (some of the older units, but you wouldnât know it!). Units ending in 10-19 are first floor; 20-29 are second floor; and 30-39 are third floor. (If you have active kids, you may want to request a first floor unit, so that you donât disturb people below you. We got a call from the people below us.)
The units were in excellent condition. Very nice! Included in each unit: washer, dryer, whirlpool tub (master bedroom), three TVs, on DVD player, full kitchen, queen sleeper sofa in the living room, king bed in master bedroom, queen bed and sleeper sofa in other bedroom, screened porch. Towels for the pool are provided.
There are three pools: an outdoors family pool, outdoors adult pool, and indoor pool. Additional towels are available at the indoor pool. The workout facility appeared to be good, with all machines working. My wife liked the spa. There is a driving range and putting greens at the resort. We were too busy to use the onsite golf course.
Everyone on staff was very helpful. The concierge quickly resolved an issue with the Elizabeth Arden spa. When the microwave stopped working, maintenance had a new one installed within two hours.
The nearest beach (Brigantine Beach) is 15-20 minutes away. Itâs a laid-back beach. We only visited once, for dinner, and looked at part of the beach. The part where we were had limited facilities (14th Avenue, only portable toilets). I canât speak to other areas. For beachtime, we went to Ocean City, which is 25-30 minutes away. Great place for families! Nice beaches, boardwalk with amusements, food, and light shopping.
Offsite Restaurants:
The Rainforest Cafe in Atlantic City (15-20 minutes away) is fun, both for kids and adults. Good food.
The enclosed deck of Laguna Surf in Brigantine has a nice view of the ocean. Itâs casual. Pretty good food. We enjoyed the seafood stew.
La Hacienda, just north of the resort on Route 9, has enjoyable Mexican food. We particularly liked the shrimp/fish/scallops in tin foil.
